Jewelry Artist Gregory Pyra PiroCross Rings

Jewelry Artist, Gregory Pyra Piro cross rings have a sterling silver base and a solid 18 karat gold or 18 karat gold solder reticulation jewelry work on top of the sterling silver base. Rings with crosses may be special ordered in all 14 karat or 18 karat gold. If the ring crosses are special ordered in solid karat gold then, Gregory Pyra Piro will uniquely mix the gold colors in the cross ring to give the cross ring a unique touch, which cannot be made by the process of casting, but only by a jewelry artist. The ring crosses whether they are in sterling silver and solid gold, or all gold, can have many gemstones including: amethyst, blue topaz, citrine, garnet, iolite, peridot, or even tourmaline. The ring crosses can have a pearl at the side of a gem stone. Some crosses may also have a moonstone, amber, or opal, which they can come in a combination with other gemstones.

Unique Cross Rings

One of the unique items offered in Gregory Pyra Piro art jewelry are the cross rings. The cross rings have a sterling silver base and have 18 karat gold accents. The 18 karat gold accents are soldered onto the sterling silver base. The tops of the rings have unique handmade crosses soldered onto them. The cross rings like other Gregory Pyra Piro art jewelry have a unique combination of natural gemstones. The center stones can include; amethyst, blue topaz, citrine, garnet, iolite, peridot, and tourmaline. The smaller melee stones can include, diamonds, sapphires, rubies, and emeralds. What is unique in Gregory Pyra Piro art jewelry is that the faceted gemstones can be combined together with pearls, drusy, glass, or sea glass. Please see cross ring style #5924, which has a faceted amethyst, faceted peridot, and pearl, cross ring style #3678, which has faceted amethyst and drusy, and cross ring style #1293, which has faceted blue topaz, faceted citrine, and pearl. These kind of combinations make Gregory Pyra Piro art jewelry very unique.

Here I am showing how it is possible to polish silver jewellery that has solid gold accents vs. plated gold accents. In jewellery that has solid gold accents there is no gold loss when it is polished and this maintenance on such jewellery can be performed. When the accents are solid gold the gold will not wear off over time.

Bespoke custom made jewellery collection with a variety of gemstones together with amber, pearls, glass, etc.

Here is a bespoke original handcrafted ring design number 1725. I am giving the ring a polishing test to show the difference when sterling silver jewellery has solid gold accents vs. plated gold accents. If the accents in this ring were gold plated they could be polished right off. Gold plating is only a few microns thick at most. How much is a micron? There are 1000 microns in one millimetre. The gold accents in my jewellery are torch soldered with a 14k or 18k gold round wire, which is torch melted free forming the accents over the sterling silver base. No casting and no metal clay is applied in my jewellery. It's all handcrafted and torch soldered. If you can see the thickness of the little yellowish accents they are at least a millimetre or more.

Here is a polishing test of bespoke one of a kind pendant design 2650 made from sterling silver that has solid 14k gold accents. The 14k gold accents are torch soldered and are free formed by melting the 14k gold wire over the sterling silver. The gold accents here add value of the materials in the pendant because there is at least a millimetre or more of the gold soldered onto the sterling silver that can more than double the cost of the metals in the piece. What would happen if the gold accents were just plated gold? They could polish right off if what I am doing in the video would be done to them. Because the gold accents are solid gold the pendant like my other jewellery can be polished over and over as many times as is needed, and whether the jewellery is polished or not the gold accents will last the life of the jewellery. Plated gold is coated only about a few microns at most. How much is a micron? One thousand microns is one millimetre so in my jewellery you get a thousand times more gold than you get in plated jewellery. In addition you get real natural gemstones not lab created ones and no fake imitations either. But nonetheless having said all that the jewellery value is calculated because of the originality of the design and because the designer himself actually sat down to make the piece.

Bespoke one of a kind original handcrafted earrings design number 2932 polishing test. This is a polishing test for 14k gold accents. If the accents were gold plated they could be polished off if the earrings were polished. But because the 14k gold accents are solid gold polishing can be applied. There is at least a thousand times as much gold per earring in this earrings than if they were gold plated. The cost of materials does increase in their cost. However, the majority cost is still because they are original handcrafted, because of the originality of the design, and because this is an exclusive piece.
