About the artist
Gregory Pyra, an international jewelry artist, has his work shown currently in museums such as the Malbork Castle Museum, in Malbork, and the Amber Museum in Gdansk in Poland. Pforzheim Jewellery Museum also had his jewelry artworks. In the past he has made pieces for the Royal family in Sweden, for King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia in 1976 after his work was shown in Tidö Slott, in Tidö-Lindö, Sweden. Gregory had shows since the 1970's until the present in Europe, USA, Australia. His jewelry works were published in books, which were printed in Germany, Poland, United Kingdom, France, etc. Some of his recent made work currently is found in galleries in the United States and Europe. His art jewelry is something that is entirely artist created and not influenced by the market. Gregory Pyra art jewelry, unique in a class by itself, is different than anything in the craft movement in the UK, USA, and Australia, and different than any mass produced jewelry. It is something that artist creates completely on his own, and at the same time has superb quality. Today Gregory Pyra, Gabriel Pyra, and Piro Group continue creating superb art jewelry design pieces and also unique sculpture. There are many designs available. The art jewelry designs by Piro have a special unique mix of facet cut semi precious and facet cut precious stones where one can see amethyst, blue topaz, citrine, garnet, tourmaline, and small diamonds with materials such as opal, ammonite, amber, glass, sea glass, mother pearl, and pearls.
Jewelry artist Piro stack ring design #4890 is unique that it combines sea glass with facet cut amethyst.
Not only that the green sea glass in the stack ring is combined with the facet cut amethyst, but the facet cut amethysts are in two colors making the stack ring still more unique.
The stack ring is like three rings. One ring is in sterling silver with green sea glass, which would make for the jacket part of the stack ring. Second ring is in sterling silver and 14 karat gold with two color facet cut amethyst, which would make for the insert. If you insert the insert ring in the jacket, you have a third ring in sterling silver, 14 karat gold, two color amethysts, and green sea glass.

It is possible to make casting designs in only sterling silver or only in gold to have them repeated without any jewelry artist handwork. Gregory Pyra Piro stack rings are really three rings in one. The rings have a design that makes them separate into two rings and the rings can be worn separately or together as individual rings. The rings have a design from two parts an insert ring and a jacket ring. The jacket part of the rings can have sea glass, glass, a mother pearl, a biwa pearl, or even an Australian opal. Simple designs will have a pearl or pearls. Special orders can also be requested for the jacket part of the rings to have amber or other materials. The jacket may or may not have the addition of the solid gold accent. The insert part of the Gregory Pyra Piro design stack rings are made from sterling silver and have solid gold accents in either 14 karat or 18 karat gold. The design usually has semi precious facet cut stones such as amethyst, blue topaz, citrine, garnet, peridot, green tourmaline, pink tourmaline, or tourmaline of a different color. The insert part of the Piro stack rings can most of the time have one facet cut gem stone or two facet cut gem stones. Very popular combination of gem stones in the insert part of the stack rings are: amethyst and blue topaz, amethyst and garnet, blue topaz and peridot, citrine and garnet, citrine and peridot, and tourmaline, and sometimes the stones can be doubled up as two amethyst gem stones, or two blue topaz gem stones. The insert parts of the rings may even be interchangeable between other Gregory Pyra Piro stack rings as long as they are of the same size or half size. Each of the design rings can be sized to the size requested.
